Creatine is a nitrogenous organic acid that’s produced by the liver and is thought to help supply energy to cells all over the body, particularly muscle cells. Creatine is made from three amino acids: L-Arginine, Glycine and L-methionine with around 95% of creatine stored in skeletal muscle. Creatine supplements are commonly used by athletes because of the effectiveness during high-intensity workouts. Athletes take creatine as it allows the body to produce more energy and with more energy you can, in some cases, push extra reps during your workout.
