PhD Nutrition Smart Protein Peanut Butter Cups

There’s nothing quite like divulging in your favourite sweet treats, especially when it’s well deserved! However, thanks to the PhD Smart range, we can now entertain our sweet tooth and create some delicious tasting recipes!

Are you a fan of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups? If so, you’ll love these SMART Protein Peanut Butter Cups that are packed full of extra protein.

These sweet delights only take a few ingredients and just a few minutes to make, they also can also fit any flexible dieting programme.


100g Drained & Rinsed Chickpeas

2 TBSP Meridian Peanut Butter

1 Scoop PhD SMART Protein – Peanut Butter Cup

100g Dark Chocolate

1 TSP Vanilla Extract

100ml Unsweetened Almond Milk


Mix all of the ingredients (apart from the dark chocolate) into a bowl using a hand blender or a food processor.

Be careful when blending this mixture as it tends to be quite thick which can burn out your mixing motor if over mixed.

Place the mixture into silicone cupcake cases and top with melted dark chocolate.

Then place into the freezer for 15-20mins.

You may use other chocolate toppings such as milk chocolate or white chocolate.


When handling the mixture, have a small cup of warm water on hand to dip your fingers into.

This avoids the mixture sticking to your fingers and helps with managing and working it into the cases.


These ingredients created four large peanut butter cups (100g each) which contained the following:

  • 247 calories
  • 16.25g carbs (1.25g sugar)
  • 15.5g fat
  • 10.5g protein
