Warrior Pump - Product Review

Happy days! Another exciting new product from Warrior! As you’re reading this review on MonsterSupplements.com, the chances are you’ve at least heard of Warrior Rage – an ever popular pre-workout, renowned for giving you intense focus and energy. Well now Warrior have given us another tool for our armoury in the form of Warrior Pump, and I had the pleasure of trying this product for the first time today!

First impressions

6am - Let's do it!

If you’re a fan of the Warrior brand you will immediately notice the brighter packaging – lovely!

Taste

Today I used the Bubblegum flavour, and let me tell you, the taste is OUTSTANDING. This product is sugar free, however it tastes like sugary American style bubblegum, it really is that good!

Each serving of Warrior Pump contains 750mg of Natural Beetroot Powder. I hate beetroot, and I’ve tried beetroot powder in the past and could not stomach it. Thankfully with this product the Beetroot taste is almost none existent, phew!

Overall I would give Warrior Pump a 9/10 for taste. It also mixed fine, no problems for me!

Ingredients

Warrior Pump is a stimulant free pre-workout, which makes it ideal for those who train after 5pm. It can also be effectively stacked alongside Warrior Rage or other pre-workouts to create a Monster.

Pump packs 3000mg of Citrulline Malate, which can reduce fatigue and improve endurance in both aerobic and anaerobic activity.

1700mg of Cyclic Dextrin is included, this will assist shuttling the other ingredients through the system more smoothly, and has the potential to increase endurance.

Glycerol Monostearate is also included with 1035mg per serving. Glycerol Monostearate is hygroscopic in nature as it draws in water.

As I mentioned before, Warrior Pump contains 750mg of Natural Beetroot Powder. Beetroot Powder can increase plasma nitrate during exercise, which has been shown to increase endurance.

The final ingredient is 200mg of L-Norvaline, which is known to promote tissue regeneration and muscle growth!

These combined ingredients give you everything you need to create a nasty pump! You may well find when using this product you’re able to push a few extra reps out, you may also find that if you jump on the Stairmaster at the end of the session (like I did) your calves pump up and it becomes uncomfortable, so you stop after 5 minutes!

Summary

As this product is stimulant free it didn’t give me a crazy rush of energy that you would usually experience with a caffeine based pre-workout, and considering I trained at 6am, I did miss that feeling.

Warrior Pump did, however, do what is claims to – gave me a good pump!

As it was a Friday I went for a “Bro” workout which included a lot of chest, shoulders and arms – Got to prepare for the weekend!

I would recommend using this product alongside a hypertrophy based program which includes progressive overload to maximise results. I would also recommend combining it with Warrior Rage to give you an extra boost.

Overall I would rate this product an 8/10 when taking into account the taste, mix ability, and overall effectiveness.
