Why buy PhD Nutrition Battery - 1kg?
Energy output is a complex matter. We all need a certain amountof carbohydrates to ensure that our glycogen stores are fully stocked to ensure we can perform to our optimum ability during exercise. This is an accepted fact. Slightly more complicated is the matter of pre-workout energy continuation and post workout glycogen replenishment. Different carbohydrate sources with different Glycemic measurements are required to satisfy these varying requirements. It’s additionally important that along with the triple-charged carbohydrate content of Battery +/- 3™, amino acids that are vital to the muscle preservation process are also included.
This is why PhD invented Battery +/-3™.
Step 1- Long and mid-term energy- Battery+/-3™ contains fructose and maltodextrin to ensure that when taken before and during exercise, the blood sugar spike will not be so great that it impairs long and mid-term performance. Fructose has a low glycemic rating (GI 23) so it’s conversion to blood sugar is slow and steady. Maltodextrin has been used throughout the years as a complex carbohydrate, though in reality, it is sufficient for mid-term energy storage and additionally effective when used post exercise to replenish glycogen stores and ensure complete and efficient recovery from training.
Step 2- Immediate glycogen replenishment- High Impact carbs!- Dextrose monohydrate has a high-glycemic rating ensuring immediate and effective glycogen replenishment and an instant elevation of blood sugar for complete recovery. This particular process becomes vital upon the conclusion of a workout. This is the period when glycogen reserves have been drained and need immediate replenishment.
Step 3- Added Branched Chain Amino Acids and L-Glutamine- BCAA’s are considered the critical cluster of amino acids, the most vital of all.

“ A great tasting pre workout drink, but not strong enough for you too feel the rush needed for an intense workout, over all it depends on your needs, I would recommend for body builders to try something other than this product. (Over all good) ”

Hello. its ok iff i take PhD Nutrition Battery , PhD Nutrition Wired , PhD Nutrition Pharma Whey or PhD Nutrition Synergy Iso7 . and PhD Nutrition Pharmaceutical Micronised Creatine . i`m slim and i whant to put same muscle mass. training 5 days per week for 1 houre. what is the best and how i take the supplemnts... thaks..
wired and synergy have creatin in so you would have too much creatine if you took all of these products. you could try synergy and battery.
All the best Andy Robinson www.monstersupplements.com
I was looking at taking this as my source of postworkout carbs, currently i take synergy pre & Post workout, would i take this before or after the synergy?
Hi Brad
I would advise the Battery straight after training and then the synergy 1 hour after the battery.

Hi. What sweetener is in this product. I looked at the ingredients on your website but it just said 'sweetener'. Could you be more specific please?
Hi Josh,
Thanks for your e-mail; the sweetener is Sucralose.
Regards
Mark.
Hi, I want to take PhD Battery post workout but what can I use to boost protein content ? I use PhD Pharma Whey but don't think it'd be feasibile to mix them together as it would taste awful. If I take them seperately it'd mean consuming over 750 ml which is far too much to take at once ! Any advice ?
Hi Wade,
Thank you for your question; Yes we feel you could choose the CNP Pro Aminos to top up your amino/protein levels. please be warned that you need to consume 30 capsules for 30 grams of protein!
Regards
Mark

I was wondering if its alright to just have one serving before a workout rather than 3 taken throughout?
Hi John,
Thank you for your question. This would be fine to use just before the workout and would also use it straight after the workout.
Best Regards
Simon

Do you have to take it in 3 steps, or can you just take one serving before a workout?
Hi John,
Thank you for your question; PhD Battery can be taken in three stages or 30-40 minutes before your workout. I suggest this but also use it after my workouts as it contains BCAA's

Hi, thinking of using this as a post workout drink along with PhD Pharma Whey + Reflex Creatine. Do you know the quantities of BCAA's in Battery? Is it worth taking some extra BCAA caps or L-glutamine aswell, or will the battery+pharma-whey contain enough?
Hi James
Phd bcaa's are top of the tree. I would recomend phd wired.
Kind regards
Danny

Hi, I train very early in the morning, normally within 30 mins of waking up. I need something that I can take to give me a boost in this time and I'm thinking either the PHD Battery or Maximuscle Viper/Viper Extreme. What would you recommend? Also should I take a protein shake before training?
Hi
I would recomend phd wired or bsn no-xplode.
Kind regards
Danny
