“ Foul tasting, hard, heavy bars. I have just bought 24 bars (berry & peanut). Tried for a few days now but I am considering buying Promax bars and binning these bars. XS have more protien per bar (XS=30g Promax=21g) but taste discusting in Comparrison ”

“ Ignore the gastronomic wimps. These taste fine- play it safe and stick to chocolate and they're no worse than any other protein bar. Their nutritionally superior to nearly everything else too- 1.5 net carbs per bar can't be beaten, and cheap too. ”

“ I tried an XS bar about 18months ago, and it was soft, no crunchy bits and tasted good. They've now been changed to have a 'crisp' taste and theyve made a mistake with this. The bars are soooo much harder and chewier, go back to the old taste! ”

“ Taste is down to the individual! Keep that in mind, Ok this is just a protein bar, What do you expect when a product delivers protein but tries to cut out the nasties, I think all flavours taste great, and you get 30-32g protein per bar!! ”

“ Not sure about the effectiveness as only just started eating. The taste of the Peanut is surprisingly nice, the only let down to these is the price, although you do get 30g of protein for your money. ”

“ This bar is a much better tasting bar than a number of other ones. I went through 3 boxes in a row no bother. Like other protein bars they are rather hard but are much nicer in comparison. Also they are much cheaper than most other bars. ”

“ Had the chocolate. Good taste for a protein bar and seems to be doing the trick. Good fill up snack too! As far as people saying they are dry and heavy, just drink some water with it and its not a problem. ”

“ Great tasting bar, caramel = No1 and Peanut No2 in my opinion. Clearly a Galaxy chocolate bar wins on the flavour front but these are full of good nutrition, high protein and probably the cheapest on the market! Just bought 8 boxes! ”

“ I've tried a few other bars from Holland & Barett which I didn't like very much due to taste and texture (which made them quite hard to eat). These are the best I've tried so far, Nutrition is the best for my needs, they're some of the cheapest I've found, and they taste good (tried chocolate and berry so far). I would definitely recommend them! ”

“ Got these bars to fill a sweet tooth gap in my diet every now and then. Worked a treat, nice taste, good protein top up in your daily meal plan and generally keep you nice and full until your next meal or snack. Relatively low in fats compared to other bars iv tried and still taste as good if not better. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick snack on their way too work/or during a daily travel. ”

“ Tried these and a bunch of other brands. Used to use Peak Body 50 for pre-season weights and these are a great pre-workout bar for my cut for the Rugby 7s Season. PHD do a better protein/calorie ratio bar but they taste rank. Caramel and peanut are nice. Good bar if you are on a cut, nice balance of calorie/carb for the protein. ”
