Why buy Reflex L-Glutamine - 500g?
Monster View

The Reflex L-Glutamine is a great quality glutamine product supplying you with an amino acid which is becoming an 'essential' with most fitness enthusiasts today because of the great benefits! Relatively tasteless, easy to mix and plenty of research to back it up. If you don't already have glutamine on your list then it's certainly worth considering from the benefits it brings.

The amino acid, Glutamine, has become more prominent as new studies reveal its unique contribution to protein synthesis (muscle growth), anti-proteolytic (prevents muscle tissue breakdown) functions and growth hormone elevating effects.
Glutamine is the most abundant single amino acid in the blood and in the intracellular free amino acid pool (most abundant amino acid in muscle tissue). It comprises 61% of the amino acid pool in skeletal muscle. Glutamine's unique structure, containing two nitrogen side chains, consists of 19% nitrogen - making it the primary transporter of nitrogen into the muscle cell. In fact, glutamine alone is responsible for 35% of the nitrogen that gets into the muscle cell. Glutamine literally drives muscle building nitrogen into the muscle cell where it is synthesized for growth.
Glutamine concentrations fall markedly after training and remain low until complete recovery. What this means is, the very rigours of weight training leak nitrogen carrying glutamine from muscle tissue. This fall in glutamine is catabolic to muscle tissue. Supplementing with glutamine spares free glutamine in muscle tissue, counteracts the fall in muscle protein synthesis, and improves nitrogen balance

“ Great product- reduces the aches the next day significantly and mixes really well so that you can barely taste it (L-Glutamine has a pretty awful taste!) and amazing value for 100 servings in the tub! ”

“ This stuff seems to work for me. I had trouble gaining muscle, especially my biceps. After using L-Glutamine they started to grow at quite a high rate. Using 5g first thing in the morning did not seem to produce any results, but when I upped the dose to 10g first thing in the morning and then two smaller 5g doses (one in the afternoon and one before bed I could feel and see the results. On training days I have 4 doses, one in the morning, one 5g dose 30 mins before training and one 5g dose immediately after, and then a final 5g dose before bed. I try to always take it on an empty stomach as it should be absorbed better. ”

to help you could dink this with some fruit juice. All the best Andy Robinson www.monstersupplements.com

I usually purchase L-Glutamine from you but have just come across this product at affordable supplements for £100.75 for 5 tubs. Can you beat this price? If so I will continue to purchase products from this site. Thanks.
Hi David Thanks for your question. I did have a look at the web site and see no deal. We can do you a deal for £110 that is with discount included for 5 tubs. Call and ask for Lynne and she can place a order for you then. Kind Regards JP

Hey, I am Taking Reflex Instant Whey, i see it has Glutamine in it. Is this dosage enough? Or would it be benificial to take this product aswell?
Hi Grant, Thank you for the question; you're right is does naturally contain a small amount of Glutmaine. We feel you should supplement your diet with isolated glutamine (10gr per serving) once before your workout and 30 mins before bedtime. Hope this helps? Best Regards Mark Team Monster www.monstersupplements.com

Hi,is reflex l-glutamine suitable for vegeterian?

Hi, Can you please advise? I am looking for a supplement for mainly recovery. My sporting activities take place about 5 times per week, involving endurance, speed and some strength and power work. Can you please advise which one would be best to take - Reflex L-Glutamine, Maximuscle Recovermax, Maximuscle Ache Free or Maximuscle Glutamax AKG. Essentially I wish to elevate pain the day after training and increase muscle recovery with a little bit of lean muscle mass growth. Thanks in Advance
Hi Micahel Have a look at CNP pro-recover. Kind regards Danny

Hi there can u tell me which is the best powder or tables for muscle build
Hi Daniel The first thing you need is a good protein powder. Kind regards Danny

Hi I train regularly in the gym but can't shift the fat around my stomach. I want to rip up and put on some muscle, so I'm running everyday, looking after my diet and doing a weights session everyday. I was thinking of taking BNS NOS before my weights workout and glutamine afterwards - would this do the trick? If not what would you suggest?
Hi Julian I would go with phd pharma whey to build muscle and help with recovery and phd lean degree to help lose the fat. Kind regards Danny

Hi there, i am currently on lean degree and phd pharma whey, i was just wondering if glutamine would give me any extra benifit to my training? also would HMB help with lean muscle development? thanks andy
Hi Andrew Yes the glutamine will help with your recovery and the hmb will help stop catabolic breakdown. Kind regards Danny

Hello, i reguraly use the gym, and have only taken body fortress creatine capsules before, and i am looking for something to help me increase my muscle growth, and help stop aching at the end of a session. would u reccomend the reflex glutamine with reflex creapure creatine? or do they basically have the same effect, and would i be best taking some protein with either? regards, J
hi jamie, in my honest opinion rather than messing around trying to stack all of these products together you should just get a good all in one protein powder. PhD synergy has great quality protein and carbs combined with PhD micronized creatine and glutamine. it also has a great combination of branch chained amino acids which would definately help in the recovery of muscles. if you are wanting a fantastic creatine then i would strongly recommend millenium sports tech cre02. it is the best supplement i have ever used...period. best regards adam

I am currently using synergy 1 hour b4 i workout do i need extra glutamine or is there a enough already in synergy and cud i mix reflex aminos in with this aswell and would i benifit from it?
Hi Derek Take a synergy before and after and that should cover it. Kind regards Danny

Hi, currently taking ON 100% whey and reflex creapure creatine, was wondering if there was any benifit in using glutamine aswell?...and if so which one would u say would b the most effective?
Yes glutamine would benefit you greatly i am a very strong promoter of the use of glutamine i feel is essential to muscle recovery and growth, I would opt for PhD's pharmaceutical Glutamine. thanks JB

Hi I'm looking to gain CRAZY muscle mass. I was thinking about stacking ON 100% whey with this glutamine and was gonna take reflex creapure creatine. Is that a good muscle building stack?
Hi this is very effective for gaining lean muscle i would add a more calorie dense drink for after training and before, look at phd synergy, this will help you gain more lean muscle, thanks

Been training for 6 weeks now 3x a week for 45 mins to an hour, been taking extreme whey twice a day (breakfast and after workout.off days before bed)which is the best L-glutamine to take and can it be mixed with the protien im taking.
Hi yes the glutamine can be taken with the shakes, take the glutamine 3-4 times per day also this will really aid your recovery, thanks

Hi I just bought Reflex L-Glutamine and Reflex Creapure and ON 100% whey. Just wondering what is the best way to take these products. Should i mix either of the reflex products with my protein shakes or take them all seperately. All are recommended for both before and after training so just looking for the best way to combine them. Thanks!
Hi Conor upon waking take the glutamine, you can add to a shake if you have one at breakfast, before and after training go for all three products together and before bed glutamine and protein, this is the best way to incorperate these three products, thanks

Hi is just bought reflex l glutamine and cell tech hardcore, can i mix the glutamine with cell tech or better taken seperate? Regards Joren
you can take them together. -AC-

Im intrested in buying this product, what does this supplement do for you? if i take it should i still take my protein shakes? thanks
glutamine is a semi essential amino acid that has many uses in the body including repair of tissue after extreme trauma and boosting of immune system function. it is not a replacement for protein shakes. -AC-

Hi how many servings are in this? and what are the recommended times for taking it i am trying to burn fat whilst maintaining muscle
there are 100 servings per tub. take 1 serving (5g) post workout. -AC-

I am on maxi muscle promax, i simply take one shake after training (heavy weights 4 times a week), but i see it has L-glutamine, and Glutamine acid already in it. would i benifit from buyin reflex L-glutamine? if so could i just put a scoop in with my promax post training? x
yes you can have up to 20g glutamine per day to see best benefits. -AC-

I noticed on some Monster diet plans for mass gains that glutamine was recommended for breakfast, but for fat loss was recommended to be taken at night, whats the difference, I have reflex glutamine and was considering taking again and reflex recommend taking it before and after workout so a lot of contradictions... which way is best to take it when looking for mass gains. Thanks
take 5g up to 4 times daily, in a morning, on a night, before trianing and after trianing. all ideas are correct. -AC-

Hi I was considering buying L-Glutamine, but I'm currently taking whey protein. I know people have asked the same question, could they be taken together? and the answer given was yes. However under the 'full details' tab on your whey protein product information page it says: "Important note:.... L-Glutamine powder, its not a good idea to combine it with whey protein - it can degrade into ammonia and in the presence of other proteins your body will find it difficult to absorb." So can they be taken together? If so do they have to be taken at different times of the day? Regards Dean
Dear Dean, They are fine to be taken together. Just take them at different times of the day. Glutamine should be taken before bed ideally and then take your protein shake as normal. I wouldnt mix both glutamine and whey in a shaker as the point you have made is correct. Kind Regards Dave

How long does one tub last if taken everyday?
hi there-on average it should last you a month

I am currently taking creatine with grapefruit juice, will it be ok to mix the l-glutamine in aswell. Thanks
Hi Brad Yes that would be absolutely fine. thanks yours in health Mo Giaffar

Does glutamine need to be cycled?
Dear Leo, Glutamine doesnt need to be cycled. It is an amino acid (protein) and protein is never cycled. You can use all year round to aid repair of the muscle and prevent muscle breakdown. Dave

Hi, is it ok to take this product as well as bcaa?
Hi Chris. This product is fine to take alongside BCAA's. It will aid with Muscle retention. Thanks, Omar.
