This is a great value deal, with two excellent products!
PhD Recovery 2:1
I found this product absoloutely brilliant for increasing my recovery in between training sessions and also for being a shake that i looked forward to drinking post-workout. most shakes will leave you feeling bloated or sick if drank immediately following a tough training session. recovery 2:1 however tastes great and doesnt sit heavy on the stomach making it extremely easy to drink after a workout. it tastes great in all flavours and mixes well in a shaker. when taken over a period of a few weeks you can really notice a big reduction in muscle soreness after your training sessions allowing for better training in the following days. the creatine content also allowed for noticable gains in training ability. overall i would give this product 5 stars.

Recovery 2:1™- Post-Exercise Recovery Matrix
The Post Exercise drink is the single most important meal of the day for all athletes seeking maximum recovery, glycogen and amino acid replenishment and physical progress, both aesthetically and on a performance level. Training hard with weights or playing a physical sport for 45-90 minutes is an extremely stressful and taxing event, to do so and not fully replenish nutrient stores is the biggest mistake you can make as an athlete and the primary stumbling block in the pursuit of continual progress.
PhD Recovery 2:1™ contains a precision 2:1 ratio of fast and slow acting carbohydrates and the most bio-available protein sources available to produce the perfect post exercise recovery drink.
PhD High-Speed Protein Synthesis Matrix:
- Whey Protein Isolate: The purest protein available and the fastest way to increase protein synthesis.
- Micronised L-Glutamine: For complete post-exercise recovery.
- Micronised Creatine Monohydrate: For maximum intra muscular super compensation and cell volume.
- Peptide-Bonded L-Glutamine: To ensure maximum glutamine assimilation.
- Antioxidants and BCAA’s: For muscle repair and immune-boost.
PhD Glutamine
L-Glutamine is a huge favourite within the world of athletics, body building, strength training and any high-intensity activity. Body builders have traditionally used L-Glutamine when preparing for a competition and embarking on a restricted-calorie diet in an attempt to restrict muscle-loss and maintain strength levels. Athletes and strength trainers similarly have used L-Glutamine in an attempt to assist recovery and compliment a healthy diet.

“ I love phd products, however, just once there is a product that to me disappoints. The Recovery drink is not my fav,
The pro's are that it is light and perfectly suited for post workout.
The con's is if left the product separates, the taste o the lemon is far to sweet, not a great fan.
Sure the product works, but I will give this one a miss ”

Ask a Question
I'm currently taking Synergy as my pre/post workout drink. Would you recommend using this instead of Synergy as a post workout drink? If so, do you combine both recovery and l-glutamine into one drink?
Thanks
Dear Michael,
Recovery already has glutamine in it so i wouldnt combine them. use glutamine straight before bed. I would say Synergy pre workout and recovery post will give better results.
Dave
Hi,
I am 21years old and my aim is to cut reduce my fat to an absolute minimum while building lean muscle. So far Iam taking the PHD synergy ISO 7 (having 3 shakes a day) and the lean degree tablets (having 2 servings a day). Been on this stake for 7weeks now and Ive have lost a total of 7KG, i am seeing great progress and have just ordered the PHD methoxy to aid my lean muscle growth. I would like to lose another 3KG before changing this stack, to a stack that more focuses on gaining muscle. I am thinking of buying the PhD Nutrition Recovery 2:1 now to help my body to recover as Ive been working out twice a day (Lunch and evenings) for the past 7weeks. Would you recommend me buying this aswel considering I am having all of the above.
Cheers
Micheal
Hi Michael, Yes the PhD Nutrition Recovery 2:1 would aid your recovery which is particularly important considering how often you train. Due to the content of the PhD Nutrition Recover 2:1 you may wish to directly replace one of these shakes with your Synergy shakes as the Recovery blend still contains 48 grams of carbohydrates per 80 gram serving. In other words you do not want to take this shake as well as your other supplements as it would increase your calorific intake which would be detrimental if you are wishing to lose further weight. I would also recommend if you wanted to lose further weight you substituted your Synergy for the Diet Whey. This would be ideally suited for you personally as you can purchase the 'Diet Whey and Lean degree' deal which comes to a total of £43.99 for both products. I hope this helps Michael. Hi i am going to start using ARGI+ an arginine based powder as a pre workout supplement, and was wondering if this would be a good post workout supplement?
Dear Matthew,
This would be an ideal post workout drink, with the 2:1 carb to protein ration it is perfect.
Dave

Hi. I'm currently using Pharma whey as my main shake but wondered whether using Recovery 2:1 would be a better idea post workout. Also, was wondering if this can be used during a workout and after a cardio session (in my case Rugby)
Cheers
Hello Kenny. The PhD Recovery will be great as a post workout supplement. However, I wouldn't use this product through your workout. Yours in health, Jack.

Hi. i am currently using phd v-max before my workout and phd synergy after. would taking these products help buils more muscel and aid recovery?
Hello Grant,
Yes this would be a great lean muscle building & recovery stack. I would take the Synergy twice during the day between meals the V-max pre-workout with 10g of the glutamine adding in there and then the Recovery post-workout again bumped up with another 10g of glutamine.
Best regards
Chris Brodie
How long will this deal be running for and will phd ever do a bigger pack on the recovery.
Hi Ray.
I believe this is a May deal.
I am not sure about the bigger bag, perhaps so, you'll have to contact PhD Directly for that.
