Why buy PhD Diet Whey Bars x 12 (50 gr bars)?
Monster View

PhD Diet Whey bars taste quite the opposite of what their name suggests. With any word such as ‘diet’ in the title you instantly think they will taste bitter and be very dry. PhD have achieved the unachievable with their Diet Whey bars, creating a bar which tastes better than a chocolate bar and delivers a guilt free muscle healthy snack!

With a whopping 25g of protein per bar, and only 13g low GI carbohydrates with just 1g of sugar, this is the ultimate way to keep your sweet tooth cravings at bay! FitMag Digital Editor, Adam Gethin has found these as his saving grace and cure to his rather sweet tooth.

PhD Diet Whey Bar is the brand new high-protein, low-impact-carb bar from PhD Nutrition. With 25 grams of quality protein, only 1 gram of sugar per bar, the usual amazing PhD taste and  fortified with CLA, L-Carnitine, Flaxseed and Green tea, Diet Whey Bar is the ideal high-protein, lean muscle-building snack for men and women.

“ The chocolate cookie bar is so delicious. It has a regular chocolate outer and a kind of brownie cakie inside (surprise!). Possibly the best consistency and taste in a bar I've had in ages. ”

“ Ive finally found a bar that really does taste great. I tried stawberry and I was pleasently suprised after eating my way through peak body 50s (yuk) followed by cnp xs bars (pretty good). If they work as well as they taste, Im hooked. ”

“ Best tasting protein bars ever. Great taste, fill you up, high in protein and low in carbs. Great as a snack through the day, pudding after a meal, or just a protein top up. So good I have to stop my boyfriend from stealing them as a protein topup. ”

“ I have to say, i am kind of addicted to these bars. They taste really good and I find myself looking forward to eating them! My favs are choc cookie and choc mint, although the strawberry is ok. To get 25g of protein at a low cal is great. It's also incredibly convenient when you're at work and you want to get a quick protein boast at work without messing around with a protein shaker. Im going to order another few boxes right now :) ”

“ Great tasting quality snack, really helped me avoid chocolate etc. when cutting weight for boxing. Maybe a bit overpriced and as a medical student im not all that convinced of the actual effectiveness of some of the added 'diet matrix' stuff but still a million times better for you than eating a dairy milk and having the extra 50p or whatever the difference is. ”

“ I tried these bars at the same time as trying the associated shake in a bid to intake more protein (being a veggie) but to lean up at the same time. Result! Combined with my existing exercise regime, I've gone from weighing 62kgs to weighing 56kgs in 6 weeks thanks to eating these bars instead of chocolate and other bad snacks and in combination with the shake. They're a bit chewy at first, but you soon get used to that. They're tasty and filling and now form part of my diet, as well as being included in my gym bag along with the shake to have as a post-exercise snack/protein intake! Simply brilliant! ”

“ Got the strawberry cheesecake flavour - its first PHD product I didnt like. I bought these based on the reviews but i thought they were rank - had a nasty plasticy taste. Maybe should have went for the choc varieties, couldnt have been any worse in terms of taste. Growth factor 50 brownies much much nicer if the calories arent a major concern for you ”

“ Both the Chocolate Orange & Belgian Chocolate flavours of these bars are great. They are lower carb & high high protein than the maxi muscule equivilents and taste better. I have one before every workout! Personally I do not like the strawberry flavoured bar (yet I love the PHD straberry shake go figure). Cheers Andy ”

“ Seriously? look at the picture....now look at the bar NOTHING alike! it tastes amazing for the first chew but then gets worse and worse and gritty. I've tryed loads of these kinds of bars and this one is one of the worset! Personally im done with protien bars full stop, much rather a bannana and a shake instead, probs works out alot cheaper too. ”

“ My absolute favourite of all the protein bars! I've tried all flavours now, choc orange is my personal favourite but they're all delicious. They're chewy and satisfying. I find they fill me up for a good few hours so are excellent to keep you going on a busy day. Excellent protein boost without the carbs..only 1g! Great for travelling, in the car, on a flight when faced with ghastly greasy in-flight meals. I always have them in my ruck sack when on skiing hols and out walking too. My essential item to take anywhere with me! Highly recommend them. ”

“ I personally think these have been the best bars I've ever purchased. A bit smaller than most bars but still curbs hunger. The reason why I love these the most is because of flavour, highly recommend choc chip and choc orange. There great because mainly focused on getting lean right now and they consist of mainly protein, CLA and green tea extract! Awesome ”

“ PhD Diet whey bars are an excellent product, I used these bars as a mid morning snack/meal replacement whilst on a cutting phase. Its got loads of ingredients that are great for aiding fatloss. There are very little products that offer the same quality ingredients as this protein bar, it has only 14g of carbs per bar most of which are low GI, this is much less than most other protein bars which are usually packed full of sugars. I have also tried Promax Diet Bars which are a very similar product however I found that the PhD bars are much better tasting and contain fewer carbohydrates and pack in more protein. The main plus point for me with this product is the taste, the strawberry flavour is really nice and helps to keep you on track if your on a bland fat loss diet. Overall this is a really great product and I would highly recommend giving it a try. It’s a great tasting bar and good value for money (for a protein bar). ”

“ I really like these bars from PhD. It does feel a little like eating high-protein chocolate (I buy the chocolate cookie flavour ones) but I figure it has to be better for me than regular chocolate! The taste is a lot less sweet than regular chocolate and I really like it. There's only about 180 cals per bar but they do have 14g carbs so if you're on a low-carb diet there might still be more carbs there than you want. The only problem with these bars is that they are quite addictive - I definitely eat too many! ”

“ These diet whey bars are brilliant. Much better value than overpriced Maximuscle bars and a great way to fit some protein in after a workout if you're trying to lose the chub. the bars are soft and chewy with a thin layer of chocolate over them, but the taste is very good compared to a lot of other 'diet' bars on the market. My personal favourite is strawberry cheesecake, but choc orange and choc cookie are fairly nice too. ”

“ I use one of these for post training protein as they are both more practical and palatable than a shake. I have also started having one for breakfast in the morning; they make a good kick start to the day. All the flavours are good but I prefer ‘cookies’ which tastes nothing like cookies and is more plain really. The other flavours do taste of what they are supposed to but are a bit sweet for my tastes. Their good value when you order a few boxes together, which is what I have been doing for the last few months now. ”

“ I've used a number of different brands of protein bar and these are the only ones so far that haven't made me regret it after the first bite. They do have that chewy, slightly granular texture, but I don't suppose you'll ever get away from that with what is essentially a compressed block of whey protein. The bars are quite small but contain the ideal amount of protein to replace one of your daily portions in an emergency. Because of the cost, I keep them for those occasions when it's not practical for me to prepare, buy, or eat what I'd like to. Usually that means when I'm at work and can't get away from what I'm dealing with. It's nice to see that they also contain CLA, L-Carnitine, flaxseed and green tea - most other manufacturers whose bars I have tried don't put that extra bit of effort in, Bang on!Bulk buy@monstersupplements4great price, you will not find cheaper elsewhere! different fantastic flavours no faults ”

“ These bars are a tasty way to have protein when you don't feel like a meal or have time to stop to eat. They take a while to chew so make the snack lasts and are actually quite filling. With the goodness they pack coupled with being diet-friendly they are excellent to carry round for the odd emergency snack or simply to munch when you feel peckish and don't want to fill up with the wrong stuff. It's a lot cheaper buying them from MonsterSupplements than in the health-food stores, especially if you buy in bulk. ”

Ask a Question
Can i replace my midmorning shake with one of these? and maybe my pre workout shake aswell? what would u recommend Thanks
you could do. it depends on your goals and the protein requirement etc. -AC-

Will this help me cut up for summer whilst shielding muscle breakdown?
yes if used alongside a good diet and training the diet whey bars will help massively in those goals. -AC-

Hi there, im currently on phd diet whey to loose the pounds, was wondering if this would be good to take as a morning snack? i have the shake as my breakfast and pharma whey as my pre workout shake. are these the best things for weight loss? thanks.
Hi Shaun, Everything sounds well planned out, just make sure you are getting 30-45mins of cardio in 4-5times a week if possible to maximize fat loss. Yours in health, Josh

Hi, I plan on taking this along with phd diet whey and lean degree. Would this make a good stack to take?
Hi Chris, Taking PhD Lean Degree and Diet Whey alongside this product would be a great stack. Try PhD Pharma Whey too, for a great lean body stack. Best Regards, Omar

Hi, I'm trying to shift some fat (mainly belly but overall and drop my BF% whilst building lean muscle) I have Pharma Whey, would that, Lean Degree and these bars help, and should i Stack with Synergy or Gain or leave it to the Whey/degree/bars only?
hi. you cant drop bodyfat and build muscle at the same time. you will just end up going nowhere. the diet whey bars, pharma whey and lean degree combined with a good diet will give very good gains in fat loss. Best regards -Ac-

How do these shape up to Maximuscles promax diet bars?
Dear Kristofer, I would say the nutritional values are of the same, but the taste of the diet whey are so much better. Kind Regards Dave

Would this help me get ripped for the summer? What else would u recommend in order for me to get faster results? Cheers mate
Dear Sid, These wouldnt particularly help you get ripped, they would be used as a snack if your ever hungry. To get fast results i would do cardio and be in a calorie deficit. Kind Regards Dave

When are the choc cookies coming in?? thank you in advance
Hi Alexandros These should be back in next week, thanks yours in health mo giaffar

How many net carbs in the phd whey bar strawberry?
Dear Shaheen, There are 14g of carbs per bar. Dave

Hi team, i am a novice to the whole suppliments thing. I am trying to get into shape for the summer and trying to start a new training plan and diet. I had planned to have phd pharma whey as a pre workout shake and then use these bars to replace the mid morning snickers. Does this sound like a decent way to start? Thanks for the advice.
Dear Patrick, This sounds like an ideal start to begin with, little changes like this could see big changes in the body. I would have a pharma whey shake post workout also. Dave

Hi there, ive been off the supplements for a while now and have put on a few pounds b being lazy hahaha.trying to get back on shape and lose the fat but stay lean.im starting back by taking phd whey deit for breakfast and post workout with lan degree, would this bar be ok to take as my mid morning snack?
HI simon I would suggest having a good highish protein break fast like fish eggs etc. and have a diet whey shake as a midmorning boost, use the bars after lunch sometime. thanks

This may be a crazy question - I love these bars and sometimes end up having 4+ a day. Is there a limit to how many you can have in a day? I see other bars advertised as 2 a day max
Hi David I would only have two especially as they are diet bars and looking to lose weight however they are better than a normal choc bar due to the sugar content

Hi iam new to the supplement idea,i am looking to lose fat around the stomach area,i cardio excercise 3-4 times a week,i have purchased phd diet whey which i will use for breakfast then pre workout i also have a couple of diet whey bars to try as snacks, should this help with my fat loss.
Hi Simon. These supplements should be worked into a proper diet plan. When you have calculated your daily calorie intake, you can see what percentage will allow for Diet Whey Bars. The bars are a great addition to a diet and if you can fit them in. Personally, i'd go for them. Thanks, Omar.

Hi, can you recommend the moset effective way to incorporate the PhD Diet powder and bars into my nutrition program for overall body fat reduction? I have approximately 10lb to lose (I'm a 59kg female). I am currently doing 4-5 medium to high cardio sessions a week (35-55 mins). Was thinking a shake for breakfast (1 scoop) and a bar or another shake at lunch and a balanced dinner. Thanks!!
Hi Shell. The method you suggested would be fine. Have the shake for breakfast and the bar for lunch. Make sure you have worked out the macro nutrients you need per day. That will ensure you know exactly how many calories you need per day and where you can fit them in. Thanks, Omar.

Are these bars suitable for vegetarians ?
Hi Eps Thank you for your question, unfortunately the bars do contain hydrolysed gelatine so not suitable for vegetarians. Yours in health kelly

Hi, New to this supplement taking, currently working out 3 x a week (cardio and weights), on a well controlled calorie diet, currently taking both lean degree and diet whey once a day, just started last week, will move to twice a day for lean degree, was thinking getting these to go with my diet whey shake, is it ok to take one of these bars and one shake a day ?, just wanna burn fat and get a lean muscle figure for now
Hi richard, it would be more effective to take 2 shakes and stay away from the diet whey bars also it will be cost effective, and then as you progress your diet replace a shaker with the diet whey bars. Kind Regards Liam

This product (4320 Phd Diet Whey Bar) can be purchased from Brazil?
Hi Fernanda, They can be purchased from anywhere , but not shipped to Brazil I am affraid. Regards, LT.
