Why buy PhD Nutrition BCAA : 195 Caps?

Monster View

PhD BCAAs are a fantastic supplement which use an optimum blend of leucine, iso-leucine and valine! These are the three branched chain amino acids which combine to enable your body to produce 8 essential amino acids! It is these 8 essential amino acids together with the 12 non-essential amino acids which allow the body to repair damaged muscle tissue as well as develop new muscle tissue! AG

Monster Overview - PhD BCAA's

PhD BCAA's are a perfect combination of leucine, iso-leucine and valine. they come in a handy sachet format and are best used pre-workout and post-workout to aid in muscle recovery and help to reduce the delayed onset of muscle soreness (DOMS)

Monster Review - PhD BCAA's

These are a good quality BCAA product. the sachet packets are extremely useful and practical as just one packet needs to be taken to each gym session rather than carrying a full tub of tablets. they can be easily put into the pocket and used when necessary. They are good value for money and work well. I noticed significant increases in recovery time and much less soreness following tough training sessions. overall 4 stars.

Adam Campbell - Team Monster

PhD BCAA's Muscle: Recovery: Repair

Team Monster Opinion: PhD BCAA's are of the finest quality and easy to use. Top 3 choice.
BCAA’s are Branched Chain Amino Acids consisting of 3 essential amino acids leucine, iso-leucine, and valine. They are considered essential amino acids because human beings cannot survive unless these amino acids are present in the diet. Together they comprise approximately 1/3 of human muscle tissue. Studies have shown that BCAA's help to stimulate protein synthesis and inhibit its breakdown, so BCAA's have powerful anabolic and anti-catabolic effects on the body.

PhD Nutrition BCAA’s, the exciting first product in the brand new “Recovery range” have been designed to the specific 2:1:1 ratio required to optimise the effects of Leucine, the most important of the three BCAA’s.

Muscle protein synthesis (muscle growth and production)
PhD BCAA’s are vital to protein synthesis (the ability to build muscle) and also vital in reducing muscle damage. Vitally, when we workout strenuously with weights, we oxidise amino acids (use them to fuel our training). BCAA oxidisation is rapidly promoted by exercise, so when we train hard, we use BCAA’s. If we do not replace or keep topping these BCAA’s up before, during and after exercise, we run the risk of increasing muscle damage indicators Creatine Kinease (CK) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and missing the opportunity of recovering in the optimum time. Slow recovery means slow progression, fast recovery equals faster progression, it’s a simple equation.

Managing workout muscular stress and recovery
One of the reasons athletes fail to increase lean muscle size is down to their inability to manage workout stress and recovery. Studies show that intense training increases the presence of muscle damage indicators (CK and LDH). With high plasma concentrations of CK and LDH, we cannot recover quickly and effectively (if we can’t recover, we can’t build muscle, get quicker, stronger or more powerful).

BCAA supplementation before and after exercise has beneficial effects for decreasing exercise-induced muscle damage and promoting muscle-protein synthesis; this suggests the possibility that BCAAs are a useful supplement in relation to exercise and sports. (2)

Directions for use: PhD BCAA usage recommendations for athletes of differing body weights:

“ Excellent product I had no soreness in my muscles the next day after using these. The capsules are quite big so it can be a bit of a chore to take so I empty the contents into a drink which i take throughout my training session. ”

Ask a Question
Hi, if I'm taking PHD Synergy, PHD Pharma HMB, PHD Metohxy-7-test and PHD catalyst is it worth taking these as well? or won't it make much of a difference? Thanks.
Hi Jack Yes I yould take these to. You can go wrong if you have loads of bcaa's in your diet. Kind regards Danny

How long b4 training should i take these and is that on there own?i currently take synergy 1 hour b4 i train
Hi Derek I would take them 30 mins before training.

Hi, would you recomend these over CNP amino acids? and also how many a day should these be consumed and at what intervals. thanks stefan
Hi Stefan, this is a good product at a very good price, these are ideal to use during or immediately after training due to the spped that they are digested, thank you JB

Hi monstersupp...can i take thses with cyclone,as i take 1 serving of cyclone pre workout & 1 striaght after..cz i been told to much BCAA aint good.any adive will be wel appreciated!& can i take phd HMB with cyclone. thanks
Yes you can take the BCAA's with this, the BCAA's are fast in the body and will kick start you recovery, thank you JB

Do i still take them on non trainning days?
they will be of benefit first thing in a morning if you are not taking protein in at breakfast time, thanks JB

Is it okay to take the after exercise pills with whey protein?
Yes these are ideal for after training, thank you

Hi, what is the best BCAA product in terms of price, effectiveness, quality etc.
Ho Bob, these are the ones that i would advise, good choice

I want to start doing my cardio first thing in the morning after i wake up, would these be suitable to take pre-cardio, instead of a protein shake to stop muscle catabolism?
Hi rich yes the BCAA's would help stave off catabolism, HMB is also very good a preserving muscle mass

I'm about 65KG what would be my recommended usage of this product?
Hi Kurt i would go for 2 before and three after training, that will be fine, thanks

Hey there, can i take these in the morning and after workouts instead of having to take a protein shake??
yes you can take plenty after training though at least 8 and have a protein rich meal within an hour, thanks

Am taking hmb and synergy is it worth taking bcaa as well.or will it be a waste of time
Yes take the bcaa's just before training and immediately after, BCAA's are awesome!

I am 16 can i take these ?
Abosolutely Ben amino acids are what form proteins, these are just faster in the body and will help your muscles recover and grow.

Hi there I am taking protein like Pharma Whey and Reflex for long time, I would like to know if they contain enough amino acids, or I should take more amino acids separately such as PhD BCAA please? Thank you Luiz
BCAA's before and immediately after training are great i would use these at those points.

Hi There I am here again. I am taking protein b4 and just after training, do you still think I should take PhD BCAA on the top please? Cheers Luiz
If you are training for longer than 60 mins this would help but i would go for some HMB personally

Whats best for muscle gains and recovery hmb glutamine bcaa or amino acids whats the diffrence between them thanks.
Hi For muscle gains then i would go for the hmb and glutamine before and after along with the the recovery afterwards, this will really help you, thanks

Hi, im a rugby player, what are the benefits of BCAA's compared to taking an l-glutamine product? which would you recommend? and is it worth stacking with phd synergy? or would you recommend taking the reflex one stop as it had more creatine in it? thanks
hi i would go for synergy and load the glutamine in there too, those will be great for lean mass and recovery, BCAA's are great for fast amino delivery with little calories but you will need the calories if you are playing and training heavily

Hi you recommend i take glutamine with phd synergy..because synergy has glutamine in it already, do i have to take a smaller serving from the glutamine supplement so as to not take too much or can i stick to what it says on the pack? also what glutamine product would you recommend is the best? also why is glutamine better than an HMB product? thanks mate
Use 20g of glutamine per day and stack it with synergy and HMB, that would be a fantastic stack!

i want to take phd bcaas, but i have 55kg, how mutch i have to take in total or before or after training. thaks
Hi just take 3 before and 3 after training

Is it better to take these instead of a PWO shake? Or do we take these and follow that up with a PWO shake?
you need a shake post workout. take the BCAA's as well as you shake. -AC-

Is there any side effects to this product? and is this the best BCCAA's out there?
no there are absoloutely no side effects from any BCAA's. and yes the phd BCAA's are of great quality. -AC-

I am take phd synergy Iso7 to help my stength and recovery for my boxing and mma is it ok to take bcaa's as well i im boxing and cadio training in the morning and weight training in the everning and don't think im giving my body all it needs to recover! can you help? thank mark
yes that will be absoloutely fine. BCAA's have been shown to greatly aid recovery after training sessions. -AC-

Hi, just wondering what do these bcaa do, are they like a protein shake in a tablet.i hear that they are good for cutting up is this true ?
amino acids are the building blocks of protein. they make up proteins. BCAA's are a form of amino acids that make up 1/3 of your skeletal muscle tissue. they are in al protein in small amounts. when taken on their own they can aid in muscle repair and reduce catabolism. they will not affect fat los in any way. they are useful whilst stripping fat as they will help to retain muscle mass. -AC-

Why are these not suitable for vegetarians? i.e. contain geletin
im afraid they are gelatin caps yes. -AC-

Hi again, what kind of gelatine are they?
it is pork gelatin. -AC-

Can you take BCAA's with creatine ?
yes that will be absoloutely fine. -AC-

How many grams of BCAA's are in one single cap?
it states this clearly on the product information: Active Ingredients Per 1 Capsule Per daily serving (15 caps- 80-100kg) % EU RDA Leucine 250mg 3750mg * Iso-Leucine 125mg 1875mg * Valine 125mg 1 875mg *

Im currently training twice a day, cv in the morning and weights/circuits in the evening. when would be the best time to take them? would you suggest using them for one session or both?
use for both. take before and after both sessions. -AC-

Hi I have problems swallowingtablets and capsules so are these OK to open open and pour into water?
Hello, yes mix them into fruit juice or into your protein shakes as and when required.

Hi i have a pretty healthy diet 6 small meals a day protein with every meal whey protein before and after worlout do i really need these ??
hi stephen-adding the bcaa s will just support your diet and safeguard against you not getting all of your bcaa s in your diet-if you feel you are getting adequate amounts from your diet as it is and recovering well then id say no,but because they are relatively cheap to buy i think they are more than worth it-thanks ian

Im under 65 kg can i have amino tablets? kashif
hi there yes you ll be fine to use aminos-they are used for recovery and growth-thanks ian

As both Synergy and Pharma Whey have added BCAA in them do I need to take these aswell? Also can you take to many BCAAs and how much is too much? Many Thanks
Dear Fish, I would take one serving pre workout and one serving post. One serving equals 5 caps. You will be fine to take them alongside pharma whey or synergy. Kind Regards Dave

Hi do you know when these will be back in?
Hi Oli These should be in stock next week, thanks Yours in health Mohammed Giaffar

Hi guys, I'm a girl trying to lose weight, I am fairly muscular of the short and square variety. I am a bit confused about BCAA's and their advantages to women. I am currently using diet whey and lean degree... Do I need these? Thank-you for your help
Hi Jaimi BCAA are protein building block they dont stimulate fat loss. I would recommend grenade thermo detonator after your lean degree cycle. Ensure you have a couple of weeks off fat burners before moving on to your next cycle Regards mikael Phd

Hi, I'm just about to start taking 5grams of phd creatine pre/post work out in my phd whey shakes will it be ok to put the bcaas in aswell? And if so how much?
Dear Paul, Yes this will be fine to add bcaas pre and post workout also. Dave

Hi, I have 67 kG and i take BCCA only post workout (3). Pre i take a PhD Pharma whey and Glutamine. Do you think it is right? Best
Hi Diogo If your looking ot put size on, i would suggest increasing the calories you are intaking by eating more. also have a look at weight gainer proteins, thanks yours in health Mo Giaffar

At the moment i'm using ON whey and oats in the morning with catalyst and fish oil, vmax pump pre workout and then reflex whey post workout, followed by another catalyst capsule in the evening. Would it be alright to include this into my supplements? Thanks
Hi Michael Yes absolutely BCAA's are very essential in muscle building

Can I take Phd BCAA and phd lean degree at the same time?
Hi Yes you can take the BCAA's and Lean Degree at the same time MonsterSupplements

Hi, Currently i have stacked together PHD Diet Whey (post workout shake), PHD Synergy (Pre workout shake)and PHD Vmax 30mins before workout. Taking along with PHD lean Degree, PHD CLA, PHD Parma HMB to give maximum effects to losing body fat. (with a healthy diet) ive also added PHD methoxy to retain muscle mass and now thinking of adding PHD BCCA. Is this a good idea or am taking to much and my body not benefiting as much.
Hi Mic, the current stack you are on is sufficient. When losing weight bare in mind you have to expend more calories then you take on board. Id personally try to reduce your calorific intake by cutting natural food sources out of your diet.. This could be by having smaller portions of carbohyrates or substituting sugary drinks for water etc. BCAA contains no calories and would be fine to use however you already provide yourself with a good source of protein from your shakes so they may be un-necessary. Monster Supplements

Hi My goal is to shed the suborn fat while maintain as much lean muscle as possible. I train twice a day 5days a week. Currently taking phd syngergy, phd diet whey phd vamx pump, phd lean degree, phd CLA, phd Pharma HMB and Phd Methoxy. would it be okey for me to take this product on top and have i over killed the stack. Cheers
Hi Mic, Weight loss should primarily be acheived via the diet. Try to reduce your calorific intake initially to try to see progression in weight loss. You already consume enough protein via the Synergy and Diet Whey therefore protein break down should be minimal. Ensure you only take one Synergy shake post work out to replenish your carbohydrate stores in your muscles to prevent muscle break down and use the Diet Whey as your primary shake. When dieting and trying to shift weight the basic equation to consider is to take in less calories then you expend. I wouldnt take the BCAA's aswell as you already provide your self with good sources of protein via your Synergy and Diet Whey. Hope this helps and good luck! MonsterSupplements

Hi, I am taking BSN Sytha 6, USN Creatine and USN L-Glutamine. Would it be ok to add these into the mix as well? Or would I drop the L-Glutamine if I were to take these? Thanks
Hi Mark. You could have those too! No problem. Regards
