I've just bought a tub of this, and was wondering what the best dose was for my goals. I'm 74kg,180cm, and looking to put on muscle and tone up. Hi, i suffer from IBS (Irratiable bowel syndrome). taking whey protein has always caused pain in my stomach with water or milk. taking it has aggrevated my IBS and which in turn caused me to loose alot of weight. I'm 6'2 and about 180 pounds (i'm naturally slender) and i enjoy mixed martial arts. I am have started using the gym and am developing muscle quite quick and I've decided to start taking supplements. I am 6,1 tall and 210 lbs and want to lose weight and gain muscle. I have purchased Promax and Promax diet bars however I am confused about how much I should be eating and drinking and when? I don't want to be making myself fatter by eating more than I should be by mistake. I am intending to have a shake in the morning and one after workout and a bar mid morning and at night. Is this a good time? On top of this I will have 3 meals.

Hi steve. i would drop the bar before bed and just have a shake, you can have a bar mid afternoon if you wish, thsi will be fine with 3 sensible meals per day, high proetin moderate carbs and lowish fat, thanks

Make sure your consuming at least 1g of protein per pound of body weight in your diet, if you are not top it up or exceed this ammount by supplementing. Take shakes after your workout and between some meal to maintiain muscle building and a high metabolic rate.

Hi there, i am a mma fighter and i have used phd synergy and phd pharma whey religiously over the last 6 months with amazing results. however i have put on so much muscle using synergy that i need to cut my weight down a few pounds. i love synergy but i cannot afford to add any more bodyweight. just wondering whether it would be good for me if i used pharma whey as my regular protein whilst taking lean degree to keep my muscle and lose fat whilst taking promax extreme before and after weights workouts as this is the only protein powder that i can find that has similar ingredients to synergy only without the carbs. many thanks. thermobol will make it very difficult to gain any muscle at all. stick to a whey protein shake and dont eat any unneccessary calories. -AC-

Can protein supplements make you put on fat?
yes if you are in a calorie surplus. however of all the nutrients protein is the least likely to add fat so if your diet is high protein and low carb/fat then you will add much less fat than if you had a high carb/fat diet. -AC-
