Extreme Carbs is 100% pure, unflavoured, no additives, maltodextrin. A slowly absorbed carbohydrate that does not cause insulin/blood sugar fluctuations and provides the body with a steady supply of calories being released into the bloodstream so the body never has to break down muscle tissue for emergency energy. Due to the nature of this powder, it can be easily mixed with any form of fruit juice, carbohydrate or protein drink. Leading to enhanced energy and calorie levels. This is an excellent choice of carbohydrates for all endurance athletes just as it is for bodybuilders.

For body builders, whats the best time to take?
Hi
Just after training mixed with a protein powder.
When this should be taken, before or after, as I have a high metabolism. And can it be mixed with PhD Synergy?
Thank you
hi morgan, i would take it both before and straight after training, and yes it can be mixed with your synergy to make it a slightly higher calorie mass gainer.
best regards
adam
Will mixing this with my phd synergy be good for mass gaining on the upper body?
Hi You can mix these yes i would only do so after training to gain more muscle mass try adding the methoxy 7 test by phd and upping your protein intake, thanks
Hi, is this suitable for taking before a tough 90minute Judo session to give me long lasting energy?
Hi yes this will help give you added energy
How mnuch water would you need to mix up 50g of maltodextrin so it's all dissolved or there's no lumps or bits at the bottom? coz when i used dextrose had to use about a litre of water for like a 30g scoop in a blender but my protein only needs about 200mls for a 30g scoop! Thanks
Hi i would go for 500ml of water with that, thanks
There are ni mixing instructions, what levels are recommended pre and post workout?
hi i would take one scoop 45 mins before training and 2-3 scoops after ward to kick start recvovery
One scoop before and 2-3 after, got that but how much water/liquid with each scoop.
200 ml per scoop is about right with this one

Hello, I train with weights four times a week and have been for the last three months, currently the only supplement I take is Reflex Instant Whey (along with the odd Protein bar to supplement my lunch), I have noticed slightly more muscle tone in my body and have become stronger throughout the course of weightlifting, however I have experienced relatively little increase in muscle mass. I also have quite a healthy diet which is aimed at trying to gain muscle, I recently found out that carbs are as important as protein when trying to gain muscle mass but I dont think i'm getting enough carbohydrates. Im 26, 6ft 2" and 80kg, I was wondering whether this product would be a good option for me as I would use it complement my morning and post workout whey shakes or would I be better off with something like PHD Pharma Gain? I'd like to steer clear from the mass gainers and creatine as im not looking to put on stones in weight just gradually increase my upper body muscle size. Thanks for the help.
the extreme carbs are pure maltodextrin (higher GI than table salt) so much more likely to put fat on you than a weight gainer shake. swap to instant mass and you will see better results. -AC-
If u r diabetic r u aloud to use this product as it doesnt influctuate insulin levels??
Hi Stevie
I couldnt comment on that, iw ould suggest talking to the manufacturers as it will have sugars in that could fluctuate your insulin levels.

2 questions..firstly it says one serving has 48g of carbs but is one serving one scoop? it doesnt state anything on the tub, secondly can this be mixed with any other supplement i.e at the moment i mix 2 scoops of this with usn muscle fuel mass before workout for added carbs and then mix one scoop with 100% optimim nutrition whey after workout..is that okay?
Hi Mo
One serving is one scoop, to be honest you wouldnt really need to mix it with the muscle fuel mass as it has enough carbs in already. You are right in mixing it with the optimum post workout as this replenishes your glycogen stores.thanks
