How to Enjoy Pancake Day and Stay on Track

 

Get your frying pans ready! Pancake day has landed, we find it important to take part in the fun, while staying on track with your health and diet. Easy, right? With these simple protein-packed pancake recipes, you are sure to have a “flipping-good” day. After all, how good does a protein packed pancake sound? With protein pancake mix, you are able to indulge in Pancake Day, increase protein intake and take care of your sweet tooth all in one.

 

It is important to maintain a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle on a daily basis. The benefits of protein are endless. Protein is an important component of every cell in the human body. Protein is a macronutrient, meaning the body needs high amounts of it to run and function properly. Start your Pancake Day off on the right note by creating one of our favorite protein-pancake recipes. Don’t forget to tell us which one is your favorite!

 

  1. Caramel and Protein Popcorn Pancake (100ml milk, 2 large scoops Protein Works pancake mix, protein works naked popcorn, Walden Farms calorie-free caramel syrup, almonds)

Directions: In a shaker, mix milk, protein pancake mix and if desired a handful of crushed popcorn. Pour a generous amount onto your frying pan and flip when necessary to get a fluffy pancake. Once the pancakes are on a plate, drizzle with caramel syrup, top with another handful of protein popcorn and enjoy!

 

  1. Strawberry Cake Batter Pancake (150 ml milk, 2 large scoops MyProtein pancake mix, strawberries, vanilla Chobani Greek yogurt, rainbow sprinkles)

Directions: In a shaker, mix milk, MyProtein pancake mix. Pour a generous amount onto your frying pan and flip when necessary to get a fluffy pancake. Once the pancakes are on a plate, spread vanilla Chobani Greek yogurt on top to act as a frosting and lightly sprinkle with rainbow sprinkles and calorie free syrup. Don’t devour too fast!

 

  1. Chocolate Grazer Pancake (100-150 ml milk, 2 large scoops Protein Works pancake mix, 1 cup crushed Protein Works protein grazers, Protein Works chocolate calorie-free chocolate syrup)

Directions: In a shaker, mix milk, Protein Works pancake mix, add  half-cup of crushed chocolate protein grazers if desired. Pour a generous amount onto your frying pan and flip when necessary to get a fluffy pancake. Once the pancakes are on a plate, sprinkle the remaining crushed chocolate grazer and drizzle with warm Protein Works chocolate syrup. Eat up!

Each of the above recipes can be recreated with skim, 1% or 2% milk. For an extra tasty spin on things, try creating it with almond, hemp or soymilk.

A secret tip from our insiders – Don’t shake the batter too much! The lumpier, the better.
