New supplement is game changer for Iron Woman

A triathlete from Preston, who is currently halfway through her challenge of four Ironman events in four months, is using Monster’s new MyEndurance range products to support her training.

Amy Forshaw, 36, completed the Ironman 70.3 in Staffordshire in June, which saw participants complete a gruelling 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike ride and a half marathon. She then took part in the Ironman UK event in July and will be competing in Ironman Wales (Sunday 13th September) and Ironman Majorca (Saturday 26th September).

A test of pure endurance, the Ironman challenge is considered to be one of the most difficult one-day sporting events in the world, with even the best athletes taking up to 10-and-a-half hours to complete a course.

Amy explains:

“Triathlon training is extremely demanding as it is, and I usually train for between 25 and 28 hours per week, so it’s been especially important that I fuel my body properly. The correct supplementation is key to my performance and, for me, the MyEndurance products I’m currently using tick all the boxes when it comes to my heavy sessions, as they’ve been designed specifically for endurance athletes.

“I’m really looking forward to racing – I enjoy seeing all of the hard work and effort that I’ve put into my training translate into a good race – especially if I win!”

MyEndurance is a British brand offering a collection of innovative sports supplements and professional advice, designed with the endurance athlete in mind. It is available exclusively from Monster Supplements.

Established by triathlete, Mark Harrison, MyEndurance follows a pre-intra-post philosophy and comprises three products: an industry first pre-workout Hot Carbohydrate Loader, an intra-workout Train Sustain Formula, and the post-workout Recovery 4:1 Formula. Prices start from £17.99.

Developed by athletes and with input from endurance specialists and leading supplement developers, the MyEndurance range aims to provide athletes with the fuel they need, when they need it; with every ingredient being included based solely on its health merits.

Mark Harrison, Founder of MyEndurance, explains:

“Amy is a real advocate of our intra- and post-workout supplements, Train Sustain and the Recovery 4:1 Form

“Train Sustain acts as a great energy source during tough training sessions, and allows users to train harder and for longer, whilst the Recovery 4:1 Formula is designed to replenish and rehydrate the body’s energy systems and muscles after intense exercise, so it’s absolutely ideal for Amy who’s due to complete two Ironman races less than two weeks apart.”
