Hands up if you are a sucker for fast food, junk food and anything else which isn’t good for you? Me too, if you had to eat a takeaway 5 times a day, 3 litres of ice cream and whatever else your imagination allows you to think of to become Mr Olympia I could do it, easy! Unfortunately, I have always liked food which isn’t good for me, but that doesn’t mean I eat it. Of course, there are times when I do indulge when it is appropriate and if I have earned the right to. However, I have spent a lot of time eating clean and trying to make it taste good at the same time. Today I wanted to share with you 3 extremely easy recipes to prepare, which are muscle and waistline friendly, yet they do have that taste of naughtiness!
Not quite, but it tastes every bit as good and every time I eat it I do ask myself if this really is as healthy as it should be.
2 slices of brown toast
150g LEAN mince beef cooked on a George Foreman grill into a beef patty
Simply add the beef on to one slice of toast add 1 teaspoon of tomato ketchup on to the beef and then complete the burger with the second slice of toast. This really tastes the business, takes about 3 minutes to prepare and it is perfectly fine for most athletes unless you are on a carb restricted diet.
Chicken & Mayo
This has got to be one of my all time top combinations, it just makes the mouth water don’t you find? Try this one for measure; again it causes you to question just how good it really is for you it tastes that great!
1 toasted wholemeal pitta bread
150g chopped and grilled chicken breast
4 sliced and grilled baby tomatoes
1 teaspoon of LIGHT mayonnaise
Add all of the ingredients to the pitta and crunch; it is as simple as that!
Oat so good
Flex Lewis is Welsh, I am Welsh, Flex loves oats, I love oats and the similarities end there. My point is that I love oats, a lot. Check this yummy recipe out to warm your belly in this cold weather, feed your muscles as well as your cravings at the same time!
1.5 scoops of chocolate protein
20g organic crunchy peanut butter
All you have to do is add water to the oats and banana and then microwave it for 3 minutes. Then add the protein powder and peanut butter stir well and enjoy. This recipe tastes terrific!
There are 3 super easy and fast recipes to make and they are all balanced at that! The good news is I have plenty more to share with you, but the bad news is that today is a low carb day for me and this is potentially the most stupid topic for me to have written about today!! After that last recipe my head is spinning, so you can bet just like a kid of Christmas morning on high carb day I will be up at the crack of dawn to get my oat so good recipe down!!
