One of the most important factors in having a good training session is being psyched up and ready to train. Having the right mental attitude towards training before you even step foot in the gym will put you in great stead for a great training session. If you are tired, not up for training or feeling a little demotivated then you will most likely have a bad training session.
The question is, how do you psyche yourself up for a training session to make sure that you get the best out of your training? There are many different ways of psyching yourself up to train. Whether that be music, looking at inspirational pictures, inspirational quotes, other things like pre-workout drinks or psyching up with your training partner.
One of the most effective tools for getting psyched up in my opinion is motivational videos. I used to regularly watch videos for a while before each training session. These videos would be bodybuilding videos of physiques I aspired to achieve, videos of motivational quotes or just hardcore training videos.
