Nutrition is the biggest part of the puzzle for any athlete so it makes sense to make food which you can enjoy! Some guys will follow diets which are very blend and very boring, but you don't have to! I certainly don't because I would find it too hard to stick to, I am a huge believer in enjoying your food even when you are 'dieting.'
Recipe of the Week - Muscle Fast Food!
Never have I made it a secret that I absolutely love fast food - burgers, pizza, curry, fish and chips are all yummy to me! However, I simply cannot afford to eat much of this type of food on a regular basis. This is why I came up with my very own burger and chips meal!
150g extra lean minced beef
1/2 grated carrot
1/2 chopped red onion
1 crushed clove of garlic
Mix together in a mixing bowl thoroughly and then shape into two seperate burgers. Place in a sizzling hot frying pan with extra virgin olive oil 1 cal spray. Cook for approximately 8-10 minutes.
Once the burgers are cooked place one in a brown seeded bun, place a slice of thick cheddar cheese on top of the burger and then add the second burger on. Add sliced tomato, chopped cooked peppers and some cooked spinach to complete your muscle building, fat friendly beef burger!
Cut into wedges, coat in extra virgin olive oil, season with sea salt and pepper and then place in a baking tray. Cook for approximately 28-30 minutes until the skins are nicely browned in an oven.
Once the wedges are cooked all you have to do is serve them with the burger.
